MLA format

hello. i have a question that really needs answering and i didn't want to wait to join the community to post it. honestly, i don't know where else to look.

my question is about the MLA format that i hope you can help me with. if you have two books by the same author, and are using them in a paper, how would you site which book it was from? I know in papers, in order to cite your sources, you put in parentheses the author and page number, but what do you do with two books of the same author? I have two books by the same author in a paper i am writing, but i don't know how to specify which book i am citing a quote from. hopefully you can help!

i know my spelling is horrible and my grammar sucks, but hopefully you can look past all of that and help me.

thank you so so much if you can answer my question!
